ISI encourage Bangladeshi militants: Matia

SHARIATPUR, March 30, 2017 (BSS)- Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury today said the Pakistani ISI, an inter-services intelligence, are encouraging the militants of Bangladesh out to kill innocent people, including women and children.

"Militants are killing people including women and children and Islam does not endorse such acts of killing," she said while speaking as the chief guest at a sport-items distribution prgramme at Geraponcha Primary School in Nalitabari upazila of the district.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Mollik Anowar, Police Super Rafiqul Hasan Gani, Upazila Parishad Chairman AKM Mukhlesur Rahman Ripon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tarafdar Sohel Rahman, Pouro Mayor Abu Bakkar Siddique and Upazila Awami League President Ziaul Haque, among others, were present at the function.

Matia Chowdhury deplored the killings of people by the militants and said no one can change the society by killing people.

Echoing the comment of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Matia said the government will cooperate the militants who would like to return to normal life.
