Invitational Women’s TT meet begins

DHAKA The Invitational Women's Table Tennis

competition began today at Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex in

the city.

Bangladesh NGO Foundation Chairman Hedayetullah Al Mamun inaugurated the

two-day meet as the chief guest while National Sports Council Director

(planning and development) Shah Alam Sardar (joint secretary) was preset as

special guest.

Bangladesh Women's Sports Association (BWSA) President Mahbub Ara Gini

presided over the opening ceremony while its acting Secretary Engineer Firoza

Karim Neli, member secretary Shamima Tarmin and other executive members were

preset, among others.

A total of 110 players of 13 schools from 13 districts across the country

are taking part in single and team event of the meet, organised by BWSA.

Bangladesh Handball Federation President AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul will be

present as the chief guest in the closing and prize distribution ceremony

while Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation General Secretary Jahangir Alam will

present as special guest.

Participating district teams are Barisal, Narayanganj, Pabna, Bogra,

Dhaka, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Norail, Jashore, Patuakhali, Manikganj,

Jhenaidah and Rangpur.
