DHAKA, March 14, 2017 (BSS) - Information Secretary Martuza Ahmed today urged the Bangladeshi-born journalists working abroad to project the country's positive image before the foreigners.
"The country is progressing fast towards development following the present government's time-befitting programmes to this end," he said while visiting the 'Janamat' (a UK-based Bangla newspaper) in London recently.
He said 'Amar Jonmobhumi' programme, initiated by the press wing of the Bangladesh High Commission in London will get a permanent institutional shape as it is a bridge between British-Bangladeshi journalists and their motherland.
The information secretary also visited BBC office in London and asked Julian Lootey, Asia Head of BBC for more coverage on Bangladesh's Vision 2021 and 41.
