IHT gets Bangabandhu corner in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Bangabandhu Corner has been opened in Institute of Health Technology (IHT), Rajshahi here today to project the life and works of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the students as well as other segment of the people.

Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton attended the

opening ceremony as the chief guest. IHT Principal Dr Farhana Haque and

Associate Professors Dr Sathi Kumar, Dr Anwarul Islam and Dr Mujibur Rahman

were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Liton urged the students to know the life

and works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to become patriotic citizens

of the country.

He said the new generation must follow the ideals of Bangabandhu. They

should also hear the speeches of Bangabandhu minutely.

Bangladesh emerged as an independent country in 1971 under the dynamic and

farsighted leadership of Bangabandhu, he added.

Recalling the greatest contribution of Bangabandhu to the independence of

Bangladesh, he mentioned that the fugitive convicted killers of Bangabandhu

and his family members will not go unpunished.

All the fugitive convicts will be brought back to the country for

executing the verdict given by the apex court of the country so that none can

dare to commit such types of heinous crimes.

The corner has been built with Bangabandhu's portrait, historic speech of

7th March, photographs of his life and more than 200 books on the life and

works of Bangabandhu.
