IGP for raising voice against militancy

DHAKA, April 4, 2017 (BSS)- Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque today called upon all to be united against militancy for the sake of the country.

"We should raise our voice against militancy," he told reporters emerging from a memorial meeting and doa mahfil arranged in memory of RAB Intelligence Chief Lieutenant Colonel Abul Kalam Azad who was killed following a blast during the anti-militant operation at 'Atia Mohol' in Sylhet recently.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arranged the meeting and doa mahfil at its headquarters here.

RAB ADG-Ops Colonel Anwar Latif Khan, ADG Admin of RAB Abdul Jalil Mondol, Admin Director Wing Commander Mofazzal Hossain, RAB senior officials Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan, senior ASP Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuyian, Lieutenant Colonel Sarowar Bin Kashem and Lieutenant Colonel Tuhin Mohammad Masud, among others, were present.

"We should be more aware and responsible against militancy," Haque said, adding, "We are watching every step of militants."
