ICC chairman inspects site of Sheikh Hasina Cricket Stadium

Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Greg Barclay arrived in the capital Sunday afternoon, for a 2-day visit mainly focused on infrastructure inspection.

Right after his arrival in Dhaka, the ICC chairman directly moved to Sheikh Hasina Cricket Stadium site at Purbachal from the airport.

He will join a dinner Sunday night to be hosted by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The ICC Chairman is expected to be present at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur Monday (May 23) morning to watch the first session of the opening day of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Greg Barclay is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina later in the day, before visiting Sylhet to see the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and adjacent cricket facilities.

He is expected to depart for Kolkata, India on Tuesday (May 24).
