HoR winter session prorogued

The ongoing winter session of the parliament is over this midnight.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire read out the letter received from Acting President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav on it at the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday. Acting President Yadav prorogued the ongoing winter session of the parliament upon the recommendation of Council of Ministers.

Earlier, Speaker Ghimire shared the details on the HoR businesses.

The first meeting of HoR on Friday was disturbed for a while over the issue relating to accused lawmaker Laxmi Mahato Koiri, who is in fugitive list of Home Ministry. Speaker Ghimire informed the lawmakers that decision on lawmaker Koiri would be taken from the coming session of parliament based on legal provisions.

The HoR meeting had approved the leave of lawmakers Manorama Sherchan, Bina Kumar Thanet, Chandra Kant Bhandari and Barsha Man Pun.
