MADARIPUR, March 11, 2017 (BSS) - State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak said here today "Sheikh Hasina Institute of Information Technology and Hi-Tech Park" would be constructed on the bank of river Padma soon.
Speaking at an annual conference of Poura unit of Chhatra League in Shibchar here, he said the ICT-based employment would be created for new generation with the construction of hi-tech park. Besides, the global IT experts would come here and involve themselves in IT research.
The state minister said that the government has already set up 5,500 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs over one lakh educational institutes across the country for four crore students to provide IT education to them.
Besides, he said some 15,000 more Sheikh Russell Digital Labs would be set up across the country.
Palak said 28 more It-parks are being constructed in different places across the country for creating employment of those youths educated on digital technology.
General Secretary of the Awami League Parliamentary Party Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury, MP, was present as the chief guest of the function.
Among others, Nazrul Islam Babu, MP, Zila Parishad Chairman Miaz Uddin Khan, district Awami League president Shahbuddin Ahmed Mollah, Bangladesh Chhatra League central President Saifur Rahman Shohag were present.
