The High Court today asked the government to remove names of anti-liberation elements from all the installations in the country including educational institutes.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order asking education secretary and local government secretary to execute the order and submit a report on that in 60 days.
The court came up with the order after hearing a supplementary plea submitted in this regard. The court is set to pass further order into the matter on March 1.
Dhaka University History Department teacher Prof Muntassir Mamun and eminent author and journalist Shahriar Kabir filed a writ with the said plea in 2012, seeking direction on removal of the names of anti-liberation elements from all the installations.
