Govt. works relentlessly to elevate the grassroots people

RAJSHAHI The present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for improving the living and livelihood condition of the grassroots population.

The government has been implementing various need-based programmes to bring the countryside population under the mainstream of development.

The observation came at a discussion organized by the district information office at Bagmara Upazila Parishad auditorium in the district yesterday afternoon.

Deputy Commissioner Hamidul Haque and Upazila Parishad Chairman Anil Kumar Sarker addressed the meeting as chief and special guests respectively with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Ahmed in the chair.

Upazila Vice-chairman Md Asaduzzaman and Deputy Director of District Information Office Nefeyala Nasrin also spoke on the occasion.

Hamidul Haque said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already declared that the rural areas will be transformed into urban like areas through reaching the modern facilities there. At present, the country is on the road towards advancement of prosperity, he added.

He added that Bangladesh will be elevated to a new height when it will attain the vision- 2021, SDGs- 2030 and Rupkalpa-2041. Haque urged the people to supplement the government efforts collectively. The meeting was followed by a cultural function and film-show enjoyed by large number of people including public representatives, political leaders and members of the civil society.
