Govt works for welfare of expatriate Bangladeshis: Nurul Islam

DHAKA, April 4, 2017 (BSS) - The government has taken different steps to provide facilities to the expatriate Bangladeshis and their families so that they can contribute more to the country's development, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc.

"The contribution of expatriate Bangladeshis to the country's development is laudable," he said addressing a discussion in Geneva, Switzerland on April 3, said an official release here today.

An 11-member Bangladesh delegation led by the minister is taking part in the two-day discussion on "International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (ICRMW)"

Nurul Islam said Bangladesh government is committed to ensure human rights for its expatriate citizens all over the world.

The discussion meeting is ending today (April 4).
