Govt to set up satellite town at every upazila: Rezaul

Housing and Public Works Minister S M Rezaul

Karim today said the government will set up satellite town at every upazila

across the country.

The people of lower income group will get plots or flats through

installment as housing is their fundamental right, he told at a discussion

meeting in the conference room of Khulna Development Authority (KDA) as the

chief guest marking the World Habitat Day.

The government is working to establish rule of law removing all sorts of

injustice from the society, the minister said adding, Prime Minister Sheikh

Hasina has taken bold stance against offenders.

The chief guest said, None will be spared for any wrongdoings Ongoing

drive is continuing against corrupts and criminals to build an economically

advanced country.

He said, We have already taken stern action against the perpetrators

involved in the killing of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

He urged all to groom their children with developing a sense of moral

values alongside providing better education to build them as worthy citizens

of the country.

KDA organized the meeting with its chairman Brig Gen Abdul Mukim Sarker in

the chair.

State minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnuzan Sufian, Mayor of

KCC Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Parliament Member Akteruzzaman Babu, Chairman of

Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, Khulna Divisional Commissioner

Lokman Hossain Mia, addressed the meeting as special guests while head of

Urban and Planning Faculty of KUET Prof Dr Md Mostofa Sarwar addressed as key

discussant.
