Information Minister and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasod) President Hasanul Huq Inu today said the present government has been successful to resist with an iron hand the anti-country terrorists and militants.
"The razakars (collaborators of Pakistan army in 1971) and militants could not be saved through arson attacks or any sort of terrorist activities," he said talking to journalists prior to workers meeting of Jasod at the local district council auditorium here.
Referring to the recent attacks in Nasirnagar and Gobindaganj, the minister said the identified terrorist clique has launched the attacks at the directive of high-ups to malign the image of the government.
The terrorists are not only attacking the Hindus but also on Islamic personalities like the pirs and imams of mosques, he added.
Inu said the government want make the country razakar-free by holding trials of war criminals.
He alleged that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is patronizing arsonists in the country to protect the followers of Pakistan.
As a sequel to this, the arsonists have launched attacks in Nasirnagar and Gabindaganj, he said, adding that the BNP wants to foil the next national polls of 2019 through this type of terrorist activities.
Later, Hasanul Huq Inu addressed the Jasod workers meeting as the chief guest.
Presided over by district Jasod Vice-President Talukder Humayun Kabir, the meeting was also addressed by Jasod central executive committee president Advocate Rabiul Alam, vice-president Mohammad Shahidul Islam, joint secretary Obaidur Rahman Chunnu and organizing secretary Mohammad Khalid Hossain.
