DHAKA, Dec 15, 2016 (BSS)- Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said the government is now implementing the national education policy with a view to bringing a revolutionary change in the education sector.
"Revolutionary change will take place in the education sector of the country ...national education policy-2010 has been formulated considering the opinions of all concerned quarters and the policy is now being implemented," said the education minister as the chief guest addressing a function at Mothijheel Model School and College here.
Bangladesh has made a marked progress in different fields with reduction in poverty and no food deficiency, said the minister, adding that the education sector will also witness remarkable changes.
Chaired by Governing Body Chairman of the school and college Awlad Hossain, the meeting also was attended, among others, by Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Professor M Mahabubur Rahman, Director of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Directorate Professor M Shamsul Huda and Acting Principal of Mothijheel Model School and College Professor Selina Shamsi.
Later, a cultural function also was held.
