Four people, including two school girls, were
killed and 15 others injured as a passenger bus hit an easy bike in Dhanbari
upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Roshni, 13, hailed from Madhupur upazila,
Bithi, 13, easy bike driver Abdul Hakim, 60, an inhabitant in Dhanbari
upazila, and Golam Mostofa, 50, resident in Hadira Bazar area in Dhanbari
upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Dhanbari Thana H M Jasim Uddin said the accident
occurred this noon in Baghil Bazar area on the Tangail-Jamalpur highway. Two
people died on the spot and other two breathed their last at Madhupur Upazila
Health Complex.
Police seized the bus. The bodies were brought at Dhanbari Thana.
A case is being processed to file.
