Sixteen meritorious students of different departments under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Dhaka University (DU) received Dean's Award for their outstanding academic results in BSC (Honors) examinations of 2017 and 2018.
Besides, four teachers of the faculty also got the award for their excellent research works.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards among the brilliant teachers and students in a function at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university on Thursday.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Md Hasanuzzaman presided over the function while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad and Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin were present there as special guests.
The awarded teachers are � Prof Dr Md Rezaul Karim (Computer Science and Engineering), Associate Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Assistant Prof Dr Sejuti Rahman (Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering) and Assistant Prof Dr Mithun Sarker (Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering).
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to become skilled human resources for the country to face the challenges of forth industrial revolution.
