DHAKA- A four-day International exhibition on Food and Agro, Poultry and Livestock and Agro Chemical kicked off in the capital today.
Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam inaugurated the international exhibition at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) at Kuril here.
A multinational exhibition organizer CEMS-Global has been organizing the exhibition and is celebrating 25 years of its inception, according to a release.
The Expo has assembled agents, distributors, importers, trading companies, wholesalers, retailers, hotels, business representatives, of course the consumers and other bulk purchasers from Spain, Poland, USA, China, Thailand, Turkey, India and Bangladesh.
Around 120 exhibitors from 8 countries with exhibitor profiles like packaging equipment and packaging materials, food processing equipment, processed food, chilled frozen food, products, food ingredients, aromas/flavors and fragrances, organic agriculture products, agricultural machinery and equipment, refrigeration technology, digital technology of food and agro, tractors and combines are participating in the exhibition.
"It will be a one-stop single platform to showcase the latest developments and emerging technology for manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their food and agro products services hospitality sector,"said Meherun N Islam, Group President and Managing Director of CEMS-Global -USA and Asia Pacific.
Since its inception in1992, CEMS-Global in this span of over 25 years has made a commendable presence in South and South-East Asia, South America as a multinational exhibition organizer with operations in 8countries and organizing over 40 exhibitions per annum on all important sectors of the trade and economy.
The show will remain open for trade and public visitors from 10.30 am to 8 pm every day.
