A fire broke out at a mosquito coil factory in the Agrabad area of the port city on Thursday morning.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The fire started around 9am at the factory in Panwalapara, said Kafil Uddin, an official of the Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Four firefighting units were pressed into service and the blaze was brought under control in an hour, said the official.
A probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire, he added.
