A fire that broke out at a warehouse in Gazipur’s Tongi area on Tuesday morning has been brought under control, officials said.
The fire started at 9am inside the rented warehouse in the Millgate area of Tongi.
Five fire tenders were pressed into service but it took them nearly one-and-a-half hours to contain the flames, said Iqbal Hassan, station officer of Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Only a probe can ascertain the exact amount of damages, he said.
