MUNSHIGANJ, Feb 3, 2017 (BSS) - The ferry service on Shimulia-Kathalbari route resumed at 9 am after five hours suspension due to thick fog on the route.
Giasuddin Patwary, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), said the ferry movement was suspended from 4am due to poor visibility.
About 300 vehicles, including buses, trucks and cars, remained stranded at both ends of the important route, he added.
However, the ferry service resumed around 9am as fog started disappearing with the sunrise.
