A female police personnel was killed and her
husband and daughter were injured in a road accident in Ramnagar area on the
Dhaka-Magura highway under Sadar upazila here today.
The deceased was identified as Laboni Bhadra, 26, hailed from Shalikha
upazila of the district. Her husband Prosenjit Biswas, 29, and daughter
Ankita Biswas, 4, were admitted to Magura 250-bed hospital.
Prosenjit Biswas said the accident occurred when a passengers' bus of Tuhin
Paribahan hit his motorcycle from behind in the area around 10 am, leaving
Laboni Bhadra dead on the spot.
Laboni Bhadra and Prosenjit Biswas were working under Rajbari Railway Police.
They were heading towards Rajbari after spending holydays in Shalikha.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Magura Highway Thana Liakat Ali confirmed the
matter saying police seized the bus.
