Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club made good start in the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football 2022-23 beating their rivals in two opening day’s matches at two different venues across the country on Tuesday.
Traditional Dhaka Mohammedan SC beat old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society by 1-0 goal in a Group A match at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj Tuesday afternoon.

Mali striker Souleymane Diabate scored the match-winning goal for the black and whites Mohammedans in the 75th minute (1-0).
Earlier, President of Gopalganj District Awami League Mahbub Ali Khan inaugurated the tournament where BFF general secretray Abu Nayeem Shohag was also present.
Fed Cup Football: Mohammedan SC, Sheikh Jamal DC make good start
In the day’s other Group A match., Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club outplayed Azampur Football Club, Uttara by 3-0 goals at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla Tuesday afternoon.
Uzbek forward Otabek put Sheikh Jamal DC ahead in the very first minute (1-0), medio Koushik Barua doubled the winners lead in the 76th minute (2-0) while local striker Mannaf Rabby sealed the fate of the match scoring the 3rd goal in the 78th minute (3-0).

A total of eleven Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football teams, split into three groups, are taking part in this year’s Federation Cup Football
Participating teams are:
Group A – Sheikh Jamal DC, Mohammedan SC, Rahmatganj MFS and Azampur FC, Uttara
Group B – Bashundhara Kings, Chittagong Abahani, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC and Fortis FC
Group C- Dhaka Abahani Ltd, Sheikh Russel KC and Bangladesh Police FC.
