DHAKA, June 5, 2017 (BSS) - Abul Hashem Mian, a former senior government official, died at a city hospital on Sunday. He was 85.
Abul Hashem, the youngest brother of late Dr Abul Kashem, an-ex Awami League lawmaker elected from Naria in Shariatpur, breathed his last at Mirpur Diabetic Hospital in the capital on Sunday noon, family sources said today.
He had been sufferings from diabetes and respiratory problem.
Abul Hashem, who hailed from Bajanpara village under Naria upazila in
Shariatpur, left behind two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He was buried at Azimpur Graveyard in the capital following a namaz-e-janaza at Gabtola Jame Mosque in Zigatala after Asr prayers on Sunday.
Abul Hashem served as the deputy director of Local Government Division in Chittagong and additional district magistrate (ADM), additional deputy commissioner (ADC), sub-divisional officer (SDO) and magistrate in different districts.
