‘Drug peddler’ found dead in Dinajpur

Police recovered the body of a suspected drug peddler from Chirirbandar upazila of Dinajpur on Wednesday.

 

The deceased was identified as Hasanur Rahma, 41.

 

Deceased’s mother Hasina Begum alleged that his son was hacked to death following a brawl over sharing of money of drug dealing on Tuesday night.

 

Police recovered the body from a pond in Ranipur village of the upazila this noon, said Bazlur Rashid, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chirirbandar police station.

 

The body was sent to M Abdur Rahim Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy, he added.

 

An investigation is on in this regard, said the OC.
