Doctors’ request on relocation to Dhaka won’t be entertained: Zahid

DHAKA, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque today said any request on relocation of doctors and nurses to Dhaka will not be entertained as many hospitals out of the capital city are currently facing shortage of doctors and nurses.

Many doctors and nurses from outside of Dhaka requested the authority concerned for their relocation to Dhaka. From now on such request would not be entertained as many hospitals at district level are currently facing shortage of doctors and nurses, he said.

He stated this while addressing a coordination meeting with hospital directors as the chief guest at his secretariat.

With Health Services Division Secretary Md Asadul Islam in the chair, it was addressed by State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Murad Hassan and Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Major General Kazi Sharif Kaikobad.
