NETROKONA- President of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Dr Dipu Moni, MP, today visited different flood- hit areas of Mohanganj upazila of the district.
During her visit, she distributed relief materials among the flood-hit people. Dipu Moni, also joint secretary of Awami League (AL), frankly talked to the flood affected farmers and inquired their condition and assured them of all possible help on behalf of the government.
Talking to the flood-victims, the former foreign minister said the government under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Sheikh Hasina has stood beside the flood victims during their crisis hours quickly with taking many post flood relief and rehabilitation programmes.
"At the directives of the prime minister, the government will continue all the post-flood relief and rehabilitation programmes until the harvesting of next Boro crops," she said.
Dr Dipu Moni was accompanied by deputy minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, deputy commissioner Dr Musfiqur Rahman and local Awami League leaders during the visit.
