Development Fair begins at Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Jan 10, 2017 (BSS) - A three-day Development Fair began at Mymensingh Gymnasium on Monday with the objective of building a hunger and poverty free developed Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair, organized by the district administration, through a videoconference in presence of huge development loving people of all ages.

Secretary to the Ministry of Land Mezbah-ul Alam was present as chief guest. Divisional Commissioner GM Saleh Uddin, DIG Chowdhury Abdullah al Mamun, Additional Divisional Commissioner Muzammel Haque, Additional DIG Akkas Uddin Bhuyian Deputy Commissioner Md. Khalilur Rahman and Police Super Syed Nurul Islam, among others, were present.

The land secretary narrated developments in different sectors of the government along with Sustainable Development Goals and its progress. He called upon all to work together to achieve the Vision 2021 and establish a developed country by 2041.

The secretary hoped that the fair would be able to reach the stories of development activities to the grassroots people. He sought cooperation from all cornered to achieve the government goals.

Hundreds government and non government officers, employees, teachers, students and members of the civil society were present.

A total of 74 stalls have been setup at the fair.
