The government has fixed Tk 500 for collecting samples from home for coronavirus tests and Tk 200 for testing at government hospitals and booths.
Health Services Division Secretary Abdul Mannan confirmed that matter to UNB on Sunday.
“The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will issue a notification in this regard on Monday,” he said.
Meanwhile, the health authorities confirmed 3,809 new cases after testing 18,099 samples in 24 hours till Sunday.
A total of 137,787 coronavirus cases, out of the 730,197 tests carried out in Bangladesh, have turned out to be positive.
Since March 18, the government said 1,738 people have died of COVID-19.
In the last 24 hours, 43 people died from the highly contagious disease with the mortality rate still hovering around 1.26 percent.
