RAJSHAHI, Jan 5, 2017 (BSS)- Collective efforts of all officials concerned and elected public representatives are pre-requisite for
building a poverty-free Bangladesh.
"The present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for overall development of the country coupled with improving living condition of people. So, the field level officials should discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to supplement the government endeavors", Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Coordinator (SDG) of Prime Minister Office, said.
He was addressing a Rajshahi district special development coordination meeting at conference room of Deputy Commissioner here today as the chief guest.
Member of Planning Commission Prof Shamsul Alam and Commissioner of Rajshahi division Abdul Hannan spoke as special guests with Deputy Commissioner Kazi Ashraf Uddin in the chair.
Azad said there is no alternative to united efforts of all patriotic and conscious people to materializing the dreams and spirit of war of liberation.
He said if all the development works were implemented properly there would be no problem in achieving the SDGs.
"All development programmes and planning must be pro-people. Time has come to identify the existing problems being faced by people. Time-befitting steps need to be adopted to solve the problems", he added.
