Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) Sunday rescued five fishermen from the Bay of Bengal after their fishing boat was stranded in the sea estuary.

BCG Station Nidraskina under the BCG South Zone spotted the boat while conducting an operation near Pakshidia in Barguna’s Taltali at 2pm to seize returning boats that continued fishing defying a ban, Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taki, media officer at BCG headquarters, said.
