Chunnu for integrating challenged people with mainstream of development

DHAKA, May 30, 2017 (BSS) - State Minister for Labour and Employment M Mujibul Haque Chunnu today called for integrating people with disabilities with the mainstream of productivity through providing special trainings.

"If we can ensure the participation of the people with disabilities in the apparel sector, they will play a vital role to increase the production," he said while speaking as chief guest at a seminar in the city.

The seminar titled "Inclusive Business: Could It Lead to Higher Productivity and Better Working Condition?" was held at a hotel in the city, said a press release here.

The state minister said the government is committed to ensure equality in every sector to accelerate the country's development.

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President M Siddiqur Rahman, Technical and Madrasah Division Secretary of the Education Ministry Mohammad Alamgir and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, among others, addressed the seminar.
