Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB)

today withdrew 10 officials and staffs as a minor boy managed to board a

flight of Kuwait Airlines without passport and boarding pass after dodging

the security at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at the early hour of

Tuesday.

Besides, a five-member probe body was also formed to investigate the whole

incident, CAAB Chairman Air vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman told media today.

Group Captain Abu Saleh Mahmud Mannafi, Member (Security), CAAB will lead the

five-member probe body.

Proper legal steps will be taken after getting the probe report, the CAAB

chief said.

Meanwhile, CAAB in a press release said the child aged around 12 primarily

seemed mentally imbalance.

“By giving false information and mixing with the group passengers due to his

age, the boy managed to get inside the aircraft avoiding the attention of the

duty staff. Such an incident at an important place like an airport is

unexpected, undesirable and sad,” said the release.

A 12-year-old boy managed to evade all checks and board a Kuwait-bound plane

at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Tuesday.

The runaway boy from Gopalganj district had no passport, ticket or boarding

card. He was discovered only because he got on a completely sold-out flight,

according to airport police.

He was then handed over to the Airport Police Station.

The minor boy was handed over to his uncle Md Yusuf today who brought him to

their village home-Gopalganj.
