A day-long research and publication fair was held at the conference room of Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University (BSFMSTU) in the district on Monday.
Vice Chancellor, BSFMSTU, Professor Dr Md Kamrul Alam Khan inaugurated the fair as chief guest while Prof Dr Sirajul Islam, Treasurer, Mawlana Bhasani Science and Technology University and Prof Dr Md Tofazzal Islam, Director, Institute of Biotechnology and Engineering, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University attended the ceremony as the special guests.
Professor Dr Md Kamrul Alam Khan in his speech said there is no alternative to research for sustainable development. He said research should be carried out in every sector to keep pace with the latest technological advancement. Under the initiative of research cell of the university such kind of fair will be arranged regularly, he added.
Director (Acting), Research Cell, BSFMSTU, Dr. Mahmudul Hasan presided over the opening ceremony.
The fair consists of stalls of each Department under the pavilions of the Faculties.
