BPL Football: Rahmatganj MFS gain first victory; Police FC earn 2nd win beating Muktikoddha

Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society secured the first victory in their 6th match of the 12-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football’ 2021-22 outplaying Uttar Baridhara Club by 3-1 goals at the Sylhet District Stadium on Wednesday.

With the day’s well merited victory, Rahmatganj advanced to 9th slot from bottom securing four points from six matches by better goal differences while Uttar Baridhara Club went down to 10th slot, also collecting four points from six encounters.

Ghanian striker Philip Adjah struck twice in the 32nd and 44th minutes while local medio Enamul Islam netted the other goal for the old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj in the 73rd minute.

Uzbek midfielder Yevgeniy Kochnev scored the lone goal for Uttar Baridhara in the 41st minute .

Zahidul Islam Babu of Rahmatganj got marching order in the stoppage time of the match (90+3 minute) after receiving the 2nd yellow card while Billal Hossain (Masseur) of Uttar Baridhara Club recieved direct red card.

In the day’s other league match, Bangladesh Police FC earned the 2nd win in their 6th match beating bottom-placed Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 1-0 goal at the Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi.

German attacking midfielder Adil Kouskous scored the match-decider for Police FC in the 44th minute.

After the day’s outcome, Police FC advanced to 7th slot in the league table securing 8 points from six matches while the freedom fighters team Muktis remained at bottom with three points from six outings.
