BNP wants to foil election: Muhith

SYLHET, Finance Minister AMA Muhith today smelled foul in BNP's electioneering, saying the party is out to foil the upcoming 11th general election by hatching conspiracies and resorting to largescale violence centering the national polls.

BNP killed people by carrying out petrol bomb attacks. Like earlier, their motive is not good this time also, he said while exchanging views with the journalists in Sylhet Sadar Upzila Botesshor and Pirganj areas.

Mentioning that a congenial election environment is now prevailing in the country, Muhith said that the AL leaders and workers are now conducting election campaigns roaming villages and houses.

BNP came under attacks in two or three places. BNP also carried out attacks on AL overtly and covertly, he added.

Among others, AL Sylhet District General Secretary Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, Vice Chairman and Sadar Upazila Chairman Asfaq Ahmed and Youth and Sport Secretary Ranjit Kumar were present.
