BNP-Jamaat patrons of militant force- Nasim

KHULNA, April 01, 2017(BSS)- Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today charged the BNP-Jamaat with patronizing militants and urged the people to resist them.

Results of Comilla City Corporation (CCC) election proved that AL government did not believe in vote-rigging, he said, adding that general election will be held in 2019 and the people will vote AL to power.

The minister was addressing as the chief guest a commemorative meeting on 'Chuknagar Genocide Day' held at Chuknagar under Dumuria upazila in Khulna.

Nasim described the Chuknagar Genocide as one of the barbaric acts of the occupied Pakistani forces who wanted to destroy the Banglaee Nation.

Khulna city and district units of 14-party alliance organized the meeting with general secretary of city unit of Awami League (AL) Mizanur Rahman Mizan in the chair.

The function was addressed, among others, by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan as special guest, former minister and leader of Sammyabadi Dal Dilip Barua, JSD leaders Shirin Akter and Nazmul Haque Pradhan, Workers Party leader Mostofa Lutfullah, National Awami Party (NAP) leader Nazrul Belal, general secretary of Ganatantry Party Shajahan Hossain and chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid.

Shajahan Khan said BNP is the patron of militants and Begum Zia rehabilitated militant forces during the BNP-Jamaat regime and tried to foil the trial of war criminals who committed crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.

The Chuknagar Massacre, he said, is believed to be the worst genocides as at least 10,000 people were killed in the genocide.
