JAMALPUR, March 17, 2023 (BSS) - The 103rd birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day was observed in the district in a befitting manner today.
District administration took out various programmes, including hoisting the national flags, discussion meetings, and placing floral wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu.
Besides, easy and panting competitions, doa mahfil, and cultural functions were held, marking the day.
Deputy Commissioner Shrabasti Roy placed a floral wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu.
Besides, the police administration, zila parishad, Awami League, freedom fighters, government officials, educational institutes and Jamalpur municipality placed floral wreaths.
Seeking divine blessing and salvation for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members and martyrs of the Liberation War, a milad and doa mahfil was also held at Jamalpur district model mosque after Jumma prayers.
