Biman probe body expanded

The Civil Aviation Ministry has expanded the probe body formed on 28 November to know the technical glitch that compelled Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's special flight to Hungary to an unscheduled landing in Turkmenistan last week.

A new member- Director of National Security Intelligence Brigadier General Ziaul Hasan- has been co-opted in the investigation committee that would now be a five-member body instead of four members, according to an official handout.

The committee, headed by Additional Secretary of the ministry Swapan Kumar Sarker, would also get seven more working days to submit its report.
