Biman adds another feather to its laurel

DHAKA, Jan 11, 2017 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines has won the prestigious "Foreign Airline of the year-2015" from Kuala Lumpur

International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia.

This award is given by the KLIA Management, based on highest passenger carried between Kuala Lumpur and South Asia sectors, said a Biman release today.

Country Manager of Biman to the Malaysia Mohammed Salahuddin received the award recently from YB Dato' Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Minister of Transport, Malaysia at a grand gala dinner awards ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur.

KLIA is one of the busiest airports in the world. It handled 4 crore 89 lakh 38 thousand and 424 passengers and 3 lakh 54 thousand and 519 flights in 2015.

This coveted award and honor for Biman Bangladesh Airlines is an example of the Biman's growing business and services in south-east Asia sectors.

It may also be mentioned that Biman earned this rare feat "Foreign airline of the year" award from KLIA also in 2011 and 2014.
