DHAKA- Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) today condemned and expressed deep concern over illegal termination of the newsmen and newspaper employees by the owner of the Daily Inquilab.
The two journalist bodies also called upon the journalists and employees to unitedly prevent such 'crimes', said a DUJ release here today.
BFUJ president Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and Secretary General Omar Faruque and DUJ President Saban Mahmud and General Secretary Sohel Haider Chowdhury, in a statement, today said "the Inquilab authority issued letters for terminating about 60 employees of different sections, including 21 journalists, without following rules."
Even the authority also did not give service and termination benefits of the journalists and employees, the release said.
The journalist leaders also urged the Inquilab authority to stop termination, otherwise, they said, all the responsibilities would have to be borne by the Inquilab authority.
