Bangladesh moved to the final of the
Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi tournament beating Sri Lanka
33-31 points in their last match of the league held today at Noor
Hossain volleyball stadium in the city.
The winners’ led the first Half by 14-9 points.
With the day’s win, Bangladesh directly moved to the final securing
12 points after winning the all four matches of the tournament.
Zakir Hossain of Bangladesh was named as the player of the match for
his impressive performance in the match.
The final of the tournament is slated on April 2.
Apart from host Bangladesh, Poland, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Kenya are
taking part in the six-day meet, which is being held marking the birth
centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
and golden jubilee of Independence Day.
