DHAKA The first Bangamata Asian Senior Women's Central
Zone International Volleyball Championship will be held on November 9-14 at
Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the city's Mirpur.
Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the opening match on November 9 of
the championship that was named after Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib
for the first time.
Apart from the host Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, the Maldives and
Kyrgyzstan will compete in the six-day meet, organised by BVF.
Meanwhile, the Maldives as the first participating team who arrived in the
city this afternoon to take part in the championship.
