PANCHAGARH, March 17, 2023 (BSS) - The 103rd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children Day-2023 was observed in the district today in a befitting manner.
In observance of the day, parliament member (MP) from Panchagarh-1 constituency Md. Mojaharul Huque Prodhan, DC of Panchagarh Md. Johurul Islam, police super S.M. Sirajul Huda , general secretary of district Awami League Anower Sadat Samrat, Panchagarh Municipality Mayor Zakia Katun placed floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Circuit House area this morning.
Upazila Awami League, educational institutions and other organizations , government and non government offices placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu one after one.
Later, a rally was brought out from Circuit House area which paraded the thoroughfare of the town. The day was observed by cutting cake at DC conference hall room.
The national flag was hoisted atop all government and non-government offices. Special prayers were arranged in all mosques, temples and pagodas for eternal peace of the departure souls of Bangabandhu and his family Members. Improved diet was supplied among the orphans, prisoners and inmates of hospital and shelters for elder persons .
Similar programmes were taken in all five upazilas of the district marking the day.
