‘Awami League to remain with people to protect peace’

Leaders of Awami League in a peace rally here today said the party was with the people in any difficult time, is and will be in the future to protect peace for continuation of massive developments across the country.

They made the observation at the peace rally organized by Rangpur District Awami League to protest against the terrorism, anarchy and conspiracies of BNP-Jamaat clique at its office premises.

Member of Awami League central committee and former lawmaker Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia attended the rally as the chief guest with Joint Convener of Rangpur District Awami League Professor Mazed Ali Babul in the chair.

District Awami League Joint Conveners Md. Joynal Abedin and Advocate Anwarul Islam as special guests addressed the rally moderated by District Awami League Convening Committee Member Jinnat Hossain Lavlu.

Members of the District Awami league Convening Committee Md. Wazed Ali, Ataur Zaman Babu, Gangachara Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md. Azizul Islam and District Chhatra League leader Tanim Hasan Chapal also spoke.

Former President of Rangpur District Awami League Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and its former General Secretary Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju along with the party leaders and activists were present.

The speakers said Awami League is on the streets with the people to resist the nationwide terror and anarchy of the anti-independence BNP-Jamaat clique, and will continue to do so in the future to protect peace.

The chief guest said that the BNP Jamaat alliance did not develop the country and the people, but they developed themselves when the anti-liberation clique was in power.

"The BNP Jamaat clique siphoned out the country's money. They do not want peace and development of the country," she said.

"As the country is moving forward under the leadership of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the BNP-Jamaat clique is creating chaos as a part of deep-rooted conspiracies. This conspiracy must be stopped," she added.
