Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested a suspected arms trader along with arms from Baliaghattra Kashimpur area of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi on Sunday night.
The arrestee is Robiul Islam, 25, son of Shariful Islam of Taherpur village in Chapainawabganj district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-5 conducted a drive in the area on Sunday at midnight and arrested Robiul along with three foreign pistols, 19 rounds of bullets and 7 magazines, said a press release of Rab-5.
A case has been filed against the detainee at Godagari police station under the Arms Act, added the release.
