DHAKA, Feb 13, 2017 (BSS)- A mobile court has sentenced an Ansarman and an informal taxi operator for their proven involvement in a passenger baggage theft at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), country's main gateway.

Ansarman Saiful Islam has been awarded a month of jail term while the supervisor of a rent-a-car Shahin has been sentenced for three months as they together stole the baggage on Sunday, assistant police super of Airport Armed Police Battalion Anis Uzzaman told BSS today.

He said Saiful has been sacked from his job and the lost bag has been recovered and returned to its owner, Rasel Chowdhury. Based on a complaint from Rasel on Sunday, police said, they scanned the airport video footage and identified the duo involved in the crime.
