Anisul assures help for quick disposal of buildings related cases

Minister Anisul Huq today said the ministry would provide all necessary help

to concerned authorities for quick disposal of cases filed by the owners of

illegal buildings.

I have talked to housing and public works minister and told him whenever

they will need help from my prosecution team, attorney general office for

quickly dispose of such cases, we will give all kind of help, he said at the

secretariat here.

The minister said these while replying a question on things to do to take

action against illegal buildings' owners regardless of the cases filed by

them to save their installations.

While replying another question on resolving the issue of backlog of cases,

the law minister blamed people's mindset about alternative dispute resolution

(ADR).

If the court asked (justice seekers) to opt the ADR of their compoundable

casesPeople can get courage, they can have trust on ADR. You will see in a

few days that courts are giving such directives and following these, cases

are not coming to courts anymore as they are being resolved outside, Anisul

Huq said.

The minister further said there are scopes to reduce steps in the civil

procedure under the 'current reality' for lessening the time to dispose of

civil cases, adding, We are working on that.
