Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu today expressed profound shock at the death of Advisory council member of Jhalakathi district unit Awami League and valiant freedom fighter Dr Lutfar Rahman.
In a message of condolence, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Dr Lutfar Rahman, also former Jhalakathi district Awami League vice-president, died of old-age complications at his residence in Jhalakathi town at 12:30am at the age of 72.
He left behind his wife, a son and three daughters as well as a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
