Awami League Gopalganj district unit advisory council member and former acting president of the unit Raza Mia Batu died of old-age complications today.
He was 98.
Raza died at a local hospital while undergoing treatment there.
He left behind relatives, well-wishers and fellows to mourn his death.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Raza Mia.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
