Abrar murder case: one more arrested

DHAKA Police so far have arrested a total of 13

people in connection with Abrar Fahad Rabbi murder case with detaining one

more from the capital city this morning.

The arrested was identified as Amit Saha.

The Detective and Criminal Intelligence of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police

(DMP) arrested Amit Saha from his relative's house located in Rajarbagh

Kalibari area under Sabujbagh Police Station in the city around 11 am.

He [Amit Saha] was taken to the DB office for primary interrogation and

then he would be produced before the court, police sources said.

Several students who are closely associate with the Bangladesh Chhatra

League (BCL), student wing of the ruling Awami League, had beaten to death Abrar Fahad on Sunday. The police recovered his body from the dormitory

between ground and second floor of the Sher-e-Bangla hall of the Bangladesh

University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) at 3am on Monday.

Abrar was a second-year student of Electric and Electronics Engineering

(EEE) Department of the BUET and was attached to room no. 1011 of the Sher-e-

Bangla Hall.

Abrar's father Barkat Ullah filed a case against 19 people with Chalkbazar

Police Station in connection with Abrar murder on Monday last.
